My Latest Life Equation (+/-)

So, I haven’t posted the last 2 weeks? Or, maybe it was only a week? I kind of lost track of time and have been forever consumed by our latest life change, the little addition to our family, named Cole.

Our newest Family addition. #Labradorable

We rescued Cole from Hands and Paws For Pasco last Wednesday, and I have spent the last two weeks researching everything puppy, dog, and labrador related. I am so much in love with this little guy! He is a whole 13 weeks and I’ll take any advice you have to give. 🙂 ❤ Raising a puppy is definitely challenging and I really miss sleep, but he is so loving and so good for his age, that we couldn’t be happier!

Somehow, I did find the time to update the craft room a little (which also happens to be Cole’s room). I’ve been looking for the perfect frames to add to the room for some rotational wall art and I finally found them. If you follow me on Pinterest, then you likely noticed that I’ve also been pinning wall art printables like crazy! Last week I finally settled on the first two to hang. 🙂 I’m loving it! If you have any recommendations on where else to get some, please tell me! I’m all ears 😉

Life's balancing act..

Yep. Speechless. I was really proud of myself too. Almost made it the full two years of the contract, which would have been my first time EVER without any incident. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be! This is the worst I’ve ever done too! I guess the Otterbox isn’t exactly highway proof.

So, with that, I bid you ado. I’m going to enjoy a glass of wine, and read a book while Cole takes a nice nap. 🙂 Life could be worse, right? At least I have this amazing puppy to cover me with kisses and make everything okay again… and of course, my husband too 😉

Home Sweet New Home

As new Saint Petersburg residents, my husband and I have decided to have touristy dates to explore our city. We were born Tampa Bay Area residents, but I’m sure this isn’t uncommon, no matter how long you live somewhere, the experience as a resident compared to a tourist is very different. As residents, I find we often take our landmarks for granted. I can’t tell you the last time I went to the beach! Yesterday was our first trip out, doing something other than trying the many restaurants, which I very much enjoy.

Sunken Gardens in St Pete

This sunday, we took a trip to the local tourist stop, Sunken Gardens. In truth, we had considered it a venue for our wedding, before we found the Powell. The pictures I found only though, just didn’t do the gardens justice. Sunken Gardens is absolutely gorgeous though. The experience, as new home owners, is likely different from the average visitor, but maybe not. We couldn’t help looking for what might look nice in our own yards. The previous homeowner loved her garden, and we found that many of the plants we saw here we already have! After leaving, I wished I had taken more pictures. I was too busy enjoying my time with my husband. Not a bad thing! I also find myself now wishing that I had a nice ‘real’ camera. For now, my images come to you via the have-with-me-everywhere iPhone. I will say, I don’t recommend visiting the Sunken Gardens in the summer. Spring is probably best. We were a little cold in all the shade and wind this weekend, but it was still lovely.

Now that some of the craziness is dying down for the early part of the year: Moving, Holidays, Bridal Showers, Baby showers, (because you know there will be much more this year!,) we can now enjoy each other and our new home…. and of course, get to crafting. I haven’t posted anything here yet, because I’m really just getting started, but if you are on Twitter you can follow along here.

Happy Monday.
