I know, It’s been awhile! School has completely consumed me. The good news is, only 8 more WEEKS until I graduate! Woohoo!!!!! 🙂 But that also means a few more things. In 8 more weeks… (The day before I walk…) I also turn 30. Eeekk! It ALSO means that in FIVE months I get married!!! (A lot of exclamation marks I know, but that’s how it sounds in my head.) Over the last few months, due to my school load (and wedding planning in-between that), I have not had the opportunity to try out any more sewing projects but that doesn’t mean I haven’t squeezed in a new craft attempt where I can!
I believe I mentioned this earlier, but I am completely addicted to Pinterest! You can follow me at http://pinterest.com/MSCAdventure/. It is great for anyone who loves to find new blogs or just wants to keep their favorite blog articles handy and well organized. I use it for craft ideas and, of course, wedding planning. 🙂
My cousin and I have officially started craft days as our new tradition, though with no set frequency. Its great bonding time for us. The first one I shared with you back in September of last year, when she tried out sewing a bag and I attempted a bib. This time around we tried some less time consuming crafts, Sugar Scrubs and Eye Shadow Lip Gloss, which I had found on Pinterest. The Sugar scrub post comes from onegoodthingbyjillee.com, one of my newest favorite blogs and the eye shadow lip gloss comes from Wonder Forest.
We had so much fun making the simplest crafts. There were a few messes and it took us a bit to figure out exactly how much sugar we wanted in our scrub but it was great to sit at the kitchen table and play! It’s time to get back to my homework, but until next time, here are some pictures…..
Our finished scrubs… Skin felt so soft! Turns out, Jess is completely addicted to it and have remade it multiple times since this night, already!
That’s all I’ve got for now. I have found so much inspiration through Pinterest. I can’t wait to get started! Thanks for stopping by and hopefully the gap between this post and the next will be much shorting than this time around.
If you are on Pinterest too, what are some great DIY/Craft boards to follow? I’ve created a My Sew Called Adventure™ board to keep my sewing inspirations in one place and I am always looking for a good variety of boards to follow 🙂
